Meet the Counselor

Hello!

I'm Meg Ford, the Steele School Counselor! I live in the neighborhood and have a son who attends Steele - I love this community and getting to support the students, families, and staff here. 

As the counselor, I create a confidential space that is nurturing and supportive to each and every student. I strive to help foster a strong sense of community at Steele to help every student know that they belong here. 

As the school counselor, I teach lessons in the classrooms that everyone receives, develop school-wide programming, help students through individual and small group counseling, and support teachers and families with student behaviors, social-emotional, and academic needs. 

I received my M.A. in Counseling and Human Services from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
